Sunny Isles Beach is a community located in the North-East corner or
Miami-Dade County between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal waterways. Just about 10 miles (17 km) north of
South Beach, a few miles north of the shops of Bal-Harbour, and south of Golden
Beach City.
Sunny Isles Beach was incorporated
as a municipality in 1997; during the 2000s Real Estate boom began a major
re-development with mostly luxury high-rise condominiums along the beach side
of Collins Avenue, replacing all the historical ones and two-story motels.
